Detroit, MI — As if you needed another excuse to adventure to Downtown Detroit these days, from warmer weather and Tigers games on the horizon to concerts, special events, or just enjoying the glow of a city reborn, the city is welcoming back an epic weekly rotating food truck experience for 2025!

Back for its 13th season, the Downtown Street Eats food truck rally is kicking things off Monday, April 7th, with a solid launch week lineup. The beloved program will feature more than 80 local food trucks and restaurants serving diverse culinary experiences for the lunch crowds around Cadillac Square and the Woodward Esplanade, the stretch of Woodward just south of Campus Martius heading towards the riverwalk.

The rally, put on by the Downtown Detroit Partnership, has become very popular over the years. Chefs and food trucks will offer lunch options from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. every weekday from April 7th until October 10th. Officials say the food trucks will even be assembled during special events, such as the Detroit Grand Prix, the Detroit Tree Lighting, tailgates, and more.

“Each year, our Downtown Detroit Street Eats program brings something new and exciting to the table,” said Laura Dean, director of parks and public spaces for the Downtown Detroit Partnership. “With a fantastic mix of returning favorites and fresh food trucks joining the lineup, there’s no shortage of delicious options to explore. We’re proud to support local food entrepreneurs and create a vibrant lunchtime destination where Detroiters and visitors can gather, discover new flavors, and enjoy the city’s energy.”

The Detroit nonprofit claims the rally has become Michigan’s largest weekly food truck experience, attracting more than 2,500 people each day. Several local food trucks are returning this year, including several newcomers, like Chef Nicholas Lodato’s Twisted Street BBQ.

Looking at the kickoff week lineup, I recognized quite a few food trucks from the food festival circuit, like Belinda Beard’s Egg Roll Diva, Cousins Maine Lobster, Hero or Villain Food Truck, and Big Bo’s Grill – a staple in the Downtown Street Eats lineup for five years now. Here’s the full list for the opening week lineup:
